Audio Rack 1

Wanted to build a audio stand for the Musical Fidelity integrated amp for a long time… Finally allocated the time to work on it.  Rough stack of mahogany lumber, ready to be dimensioned.

Cut in approximate length and all sides surfaced

First, the middle storage compartment with sliding doors, here comes the box.  On top of the cabinet lies the tiger maple that I have reserved for this project.

I used a box joint cutter to join the panels. On the front I routed a channel for face lamination.

Dry fitting and final tweaking the sliding doors and rails.

Miter shooting board setup, the crisp edge is always a challenge for me.  Always needed one more pass and it is one pass too much.

Once the middle cabinet is roughly ready, here are side legs, ready for joinery.
