Guess that I am obsessed with fitting square pegs into round holes.
A pal of mine saved me some quarter inch stainless steel plates. After numerous miss fitting of undersized dowels bought from home centers, I think it is time to make some dowel forming plates.
Bought this Bosch cobalt bits, it works surprisingly well, even on quarter inch stainless.
First trial after boaring the holes, pounding square pegs into round holes is actually quite fun
One of the 3/8 was not hammered straight enough and forced into the hole from an angle, the result? A crooked dowel.
